Benito Lertxundi (Orio, 6 of January of 1942)​

He was born in 1942, in the coastal town of Orio. Since he was little he was interested in art, he studied at the Zarautz School of Arts and Crafts, where he learned to work with clay and carve wood, winning several awards. As a musician, I actively participate in the Basque cultural movement “Ez dok Amairu”. Always accompanied by his guitar and Euskara, he has composed and performed many songs. One of the best singer-songwriters in Euskal Herria and a disseminator and defender of Basque culture and especially of our language, Euskara.
