Founded on the 23rd of August of 1999, theKursaal Conference Center is today one of the most iconic buildings in all of San Sebastián. Both because of the events that take place there and how interesting they are visually and how much they attract attention in a more classic setting of the area in which it is located, today it welcomes more than half a million attendees to the event anually.

Events such as the San Sebastián Film Festival, big tours or important events are what make this a place where you can live many experiences.

It has the largest LED façade in Spain and one of the largest in the world, with a total of 1,500 square meters. The screen is blended with the building, so when it is off, you don't even notice that there is a screen of such dimensions on it.

In 2001 he obtained the Mies van der Rohe Prize, this being an award for contemporary architecture from the European Union, which recognizes excellence in architectural works built in Europe.

The geometry of the Kursaal is inspired by the breakwater of the coastal wall, which is perfectly visible from its interior as it is formed by a room enclosed by a double wall made up of translucent panels.

In the past, the site where these two large Moneo cubes are located today, there was a palace that had a casino, movie theaters, a restaurant and several complementary rooms. Since then, it was already an important building in the city, and today it also continues to maintain that important status among the people of San Sebastian.
